Axel (english)

Axel (english)

DKK  45,00
Not quite a vest, not quite a poncho, just nice and cosy. Axel can be worn with both the knit and purlsides facing outwards, but is worked mainly in stockinette. I have made two variations in this pattern. The difference is tiny, so your choice is not serious, but if you intend to wear it mainly with the purlside out, make variant A, and if you intend to wear mainly the knitside out, then work variant B. The only difference is whether there is a knit or a purl stitch on the edge of the should section.
You can find the relevant instructional videos linked at the bottom of the page.

    Construction
Worked in one piece from the top down with neckline shaping. The neckline is shaped using short rows that are worked after the neckband. The shoulder is formed with increases on every row. When these are worked, the work is divided, and the front and back pieces are worked one at a time until the under arm. Then, the pieces are joined and worked in the round.
