Construction
Begin by knitting the rolled neck edge in stockinette stitch, followed by ribbing. Then, continue in stockinette stitch, working short rows and raglan increases back and forth on circular needles. Then, work in the round with raglan increases until you reach the end of the yoke. From there, work the body and sleeves separately in the round in stockinette stitch, finishing with a ribbed edge at the bottom.
Size guide Foundation Sweater is designed with approx. 15-25 cm [6-9.75”] of positive ease, allowing you to choose how loose or fitted you d like it to be. In the photo, the blue/burgundy Foundation Sweater in bouclé is shown with a positive ease of approx. 20 cm [7.75"]. Foundation Sweater in blue-violet/gold/natural mohair is shown with a positive ease of approx. 26 cm [10.25"].
Find your personal bust circumference by measuring around your chest (or the largest part of your upper body). Then, compare this measurement to the finished garment measurements listed at the beginning of the pattern. Positive ease is the difference between your body measurement and the measurements of the sweater. For example, if your bust circumference is 94 cm [37”], a size M will give you a positive ease of 7 cm [2.75”] (111 cm – 94 cm = 17 cm) [43.75” - 37” = 6.75”].
The pattern will be sent as a pdf-file to your e-mail.
