    Gauge
    15 sts x approx. 23 rows stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] on 5,5-6 mm [US9-10] needles.

    Construction
First you work the picot cast on. With these stitches the neckline is knitted in rib. The neckline is then folded and the cast on edge is knitted together with the rib stitches on the needle. The yoke is worked back and forth with German short rows and raglan increases. When the neckline is shaped, the rest of the yoke is worked in the round with raglan increases. The body and sleeves are then worked separately in stockinette stitch and finished with a rib edge. I have chosen a tubular bind off, but a regular bind off in rib works just as well.

    Selecting your size
Picot sweater is intended to have a positive ease of 15-20 cm depending on which fit you would like the sweater to have. Here the sweater is shown with a positive ease of 18 cm.
Find your chest circumference by measuring around the widest part of your upper body. Then look at the measurements for the sweater above in the pattern. The positive ease is the difference between your measurements and the final sweater measurements. If your chest circumference is 94 cm [37,5 inches], then making a size M will give you 19 cm [7,5 inches] of positive ease. (113 cm – 94 cm = 19 cm). [41,5 - 37,5 = 4 inches] The length is measured at the centre back, not including the neckband.

The pattern will be sent as a pdf-file to your e-mail.
