Facet Sweater (english)

Facet Sweater (english)

DKK  50,00
Facet Sweater is a raglan sweater with a small, graphic pattern. The pattern uses three colors but is worked with only two colors at a time. Floats are kept short, making it easy to knit. Since you don’t need much of the contrast colors, Facet Sweater is perfect for using up leftover yarn. You can also play with the pattern and use more than two colors.
You can find the relevant instructional videos linked at the bottom of the page.

The pattern is in english.

Note The sweater is worked with two strands – a strand of mohair and a strand of wool.

    Recommended needles
    Circular needle 3,5 and 4,5 mm, 40 and 80 cm [US 4 and 7, 16 and 32”].
Double pointed needles 3,5 and 4,5 mm [US 4 and 7] for the smallest sizes.
You don’t need double pointed needle if you use the magic loop method.

    Gauge
22 sts x approx. 26 rows with 1 strand of wool and 1 strand of silk mohair = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4”] in stockinette stitch in pattern on 4,5 mm [US 7] needles.

    Construction
The sweater is worked top-down. The first 12 rows are worked back and forth. Then, you continue in the round. Once the yoke with raglan increases is completed, work the body and sleeves separately in stockinette stitch. The neckline is knitted at last. The length is measured at the center back, excluding the neckline.

    Size guide
Facet Sweater is intended to have a positive ease of approx. 12-20 cm [4.75-7.75”], depending on how loosely fitting you want it to be. The sweater with red/bordeaux pattern is shown with a positive ease of approx. 17 cm [6.75”]. The sweater with blue/bordeaux pattern is shown with a positive ease of approx. 20 cm [7.75”]. The sweater with blue/brown pattern is shown with a positive ease of approx. 13 cm [5“].
Find your personal bust circumference by measuring around your chest (or the widest part of your upper body). Then look at the measurements given at the beginning of the pattern (these are the finished measurements of the sweater). Positive ease is the difference between your personal measurement and the sweater measurement.
    For example, if your bust circumference is 94 cm [37”], a size M would provide you with a positive ease of 17 cm [6.75”] (111 cm – 94 cm = 17 cm). [43.75” - 37” = 6.75”].
