Mini Snood is perfect for the kids under the coat – and it is a quick knit, worked top-down in rib with beautiful details. The pattern is written for both needlesize US size 8 / 5 mm and US size 6 / 4 mm.

    Measurements
    Length measured along side of shoulder: App. 4 (4,5) in / 11 (14) cm – or desired length.
    Width at bottom: App. 9,5 (10) in / 24 (26) cm.

    Yarn, golden brown turtleneck
    Sandnes Garn Merinoull (100 % merinowool, 50 g = 115 yd / 105 m)
    Golden Brown, col. no. 2564: 2 (2) balls.
    Yarn, yellow brown turtleneck
    Sandnes Garn Kos (62 % baby alpaca, 9 % wool, 29 % nylon. 50 g = 164 yd / 150 m)
    Yellow Brown, col. no. 2564: 1 (2*) balls. *2 balls will do, if you work the back a bit shorter than the front (as shown in the photograph to the left).

    Recommended needles
    Kos: Circular needle: US size 8 (12-16 in long) / 5 mm (30-40 cm).
    Merinoull: Circular needle: US size 6 (12-16 in long) / 4 mm (30-40 cm).

    4 stitch markers.

    Gauge/Tension
    Kos: 17 sts in rib (k1, p1) using needles US size 8 / 5 mm and the correct number of strands as described above = 4 in / 10 cm.
    Merinoull: 22 sts in rib (k1, p1) using needles US size 6 / 4 mm and the correct number of strands as described above = 4 in / 10 cm.
