22 sts in rib = 10 cm [4 inches] on 5 mm [US8] needles. (after washing and light blocking).
Construction
Knitted bottom up. You will begin by working the front flat and thereafter the back. Stitches are cast on between the front and the back, and then the shoulder/neck is worked in the round. Shoulder decreases are worked along the shoulder and the turtleneck is knitted at last.
