Bellis Scarf (english)

DKK  35,00
Bellis Scarf has a small lace pattern, that consists of only a few pattern rows. The lace pattern is charted and written out row by row.
As you begin at the tip, Bellis Scarf can be worked to the exact size you need – or as far as your yarn will take you.
You can find the relevant instructional videos linked at the bottom of the page.

    Measurements of the scarf
Bellis Scarf can be as large as you like. The light blue scarf is approx. 150 cm [59”] wide and approx. 41 cm [16.25”] high at the center. The green scarf is approx. 140 cm [55”] wide and approx. 37 cm [14.5”] high at the center. The red scarf is approx. 165 cm [65”] wide and approx. 45 cm [17.75”] high at the center.

    Yarn
I recommend a lightweight yarn for Bellis Scarf. I.e. a yarn with a high meterage. I have used a strand of silk mohair held together with a strand of alpaca (light blue scarf) or a strand of cashmere (green and red scarf).

Yarn quantity, alpaca & silk mohair
    Sandnes Alpakka Følgetråd (100% alpaca, 50 g = 400 m) held together with Sandnes Tynn Silk Mohair (57% mohair, 28% silk, 15% wool, 25 g = 212 m).
Light blue: 50 g Alpakka Følgetråd 5811 Arctic Ice, 50 g Tynn Silk Mohair 5811 Arctic Ice.

    Yarn quantity, cashmere & mohair
    Gepard Garn Cashmere Lace (100% cashmere, 25 g = 330 m) held together with Gepard Garn Kid Seta (70% kid mohair, 30% silk, 25 g =210 m).
    Red: 50 g Cashmere Lace col 336B, 50 g Kid Seta col 1006.
    Green: 25 g Cashmere Lace col 870, 50 g Kid Seta col 886

    Recommended needles
    Circular needles 3,5 mm, 80 cm [US 4, 32”].

    Gauge
23 sts in stockinette stitch = 10 cm [4”] on 3,5 mm [US 4] needles.

    Construction
You begin the scarf at the tip. The scarf is knitted flat in pattern following the chart (or the text). Increases are automatically made on each side when following the chart (or the text). This means you will automatically get more stitches in each row. The pattern repeat consists of 8 stitches and 8 rows. For every 8 rows knitted, you gain 1 more pattern repeat in each side (i.e. a total of 2 more pattern repeats in width). Note: All yarn overs count as a stitch in the total stitch count.

The pattern will be sent as a pdf-file to your e-mail.
