Construction
The Cara Cardigan is worked top-down with raglan increases and short rows to shape the neckline. Once all raglan increases are completed, the body and sleeves are finished separately. The front bands and neckline are then worked, folded to the inside, and sewn down, and finally seamed at the sides.
Size guide
Cara Cardigan is designed to have approx. 14-20 cm [5.5-7.75”] of positive ease. The fit is flexible, so choose one size up or down if you want more or less ease. You can easily adjust the length. Cara Cardigan is shown with approx. 18 cm [7”] of positive ease, meaning the cardigan is shown on a model with a bust circumference that is 18 cm [7“] smaller than the cardigan's bust circumference. The length is measured at the center back excl. the neckline.
Find your personal bust circumference by measuring around your chest (or the largest part of your upper body). Then look at the measurements at the beginning of the pattern (these are the finished measurements of the cardigan). Positive ease is the difference between your personal measurement and the cardigan's measurement.
For example, if your bust circumference is 94 cm [37”], a size M/L will give you a positive ease of 18 cm [7”]. (112 cm – 94 cm = 18 cm) [44”- 37” = 7”]
