    Size guide
    The sizes (2) 4 (6) 8 (10) 12 (14) years are designed to fit a height of approx. (92) 104 (116) 128 (140) 152 (164) cm [(36.25) 41 (45.75) 50.5 (55) 59.75 (64.5)“] and a circumference of approx. (54) 57 (61) 65 (71) 77 (84) cm [21.25) 22.5 (24) 25.5 (28) 30 (33)”].
Choose the size that fits the circumference of the child. It is easy to adjust the length on the body and sleeves, as the sweater is knitted top down. Clover Sweater junior is intended to have a positive ease of approx. 20-25 cm [7.75-9.75”]. It is shown with a positive ease of 25 cm [9.75“].
Find the child’s bust circumference by measuring around the chest (or the widest part of your upper body). Then look at the measurements given at the beginning of the pattern (these are the finished measurements of the sweater). Positive ease is the difference between the personal measurement and the sweater measurement.
    For example, if the child’s bust circumference is 57 cm [22.5”], a size 4 years would provide you with a positive ease of 23 cm [9”] (80 cm – 57 cm = 23 cm). [31.5” – 22.5” = 9”].
*The length is measured at the mid back (excl. the neckline).

    Construction
The sweater is worked from the top down. First, the upper section of the back is worked back and forth using German short rows as described. Then continue in stockinette stitch until the armholes have been worked. The back stitches are placed on hold. Stitches are then picked up along the shoulders of the back, and the upper sections of the front are worked with short rows. Continue working the front until the armholes have been worked. The front and back are joined and the body is worked in the round and finished with a scalloped edge. Stitches are then picked up around the armhole. The first part of the sleeve is worked back and forth on a circular needle. The sleeves are then worked in the round in stockinette stitch and finished with a scalloped edge. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline, and the neckband is worked in rib and finished with a rolled edge.
